Whispering vines intertwined, rooted deep, await the explosion of spring. I have been waiting for the intense Virginia greens to go away so that I could paint this hillside in the hues of late winter. The land was alive with color as the warm breeze fortold of the season's turning.


Original oil painting on linen panel. Measured in inches, 9x12. Contemporary shadow box honey maple frame with black inner lining. Framed profile 1.375 inches. The finest traditional oil colors have been used to create a durable painting to enjoy for a lifetime.
