The Dead Sea feels oily to the touch and seems to silently simmer. As night approached, the cooling air formed pockets of mist on the water's surface. I was intrigued by the murky colors, almost offended by a mineral odor and yet kept thinking about the sea's wonderful rejuvenating properties. How could this be?
